Initially starting with a small number of mobile computers on the ground fuel side of the business, ATF Fuels were able to trial the FuelStar software and validate its effectiveness for their operation. Now, every vehicle in their fleet uses TouchStar technology as an integral part of their delivery processes. Orders and schedules are automatically uploaded from the back office to the drivers’ tablets through TouchStar technology, and the admin staff at the office receive automatic updates as each driver progresses through their deliveries. As a result, the trucks and back-office systems seamlessly communicate with one other, providing a greater level of automation and reducing paperwork. DCC Energi were established back in 2009 through acquisition of Shell’s oil distribution business. The business comprised sales of more than 200 million litres of heating oil and transport fuels to domestic and small commercial and industrial customers throughout Denmark. Since the establishment the business has expanded organically into natural gas, lubricants and marine gas oil. The Touchstar fuel distribution system for DCC Energi in Denmark is fundamental in maintaining their high levels of customer service and to ensure highly flexible and cost-effective operation.
